Pharmaceutical Technology II

This course aims to:

Understand the principles, preparation, and stability of pharmaceutical emulsions, including surfactant systems and microemulsions. 

• Study the formulation, compounding, and use of semisolid dosage forms such as ointments, creams, gels, and dermatologic preparations.

 • Explore the design and clinical applications of suppositories, vaginal inserts, and medication sticks, including manufacturing and quality control. 

Pharmaceutical Technology I

The course aims to: 

• Understand the fundamentals of pharmaceutical preformulation, including solubility, partitioning, powder, and compaction properties.

 • Learn the formulation, preparation, and administration of various solution dosage forms, both oral and topical. 

• Explore the principles and techniques involved in developing suspensions, including stability, rheology, and compounding methods.

 • Study the formulation and delivery mechanisms of aerosols and foams, with focus on metereddose inhalers and topical/vaginal applications.
