The nervous system is a complex network responsible for processing information and controlling bodily functions. The nervous system consists of two main parts:

  1. Central Nervous System (CNS): Includes the brain and spinal cord.

  2. Peripheral Nervous System (PNS): Comprises nerves that extend throughout the body.

Neurons are the basic functional units of the nervous system. The nervous system performs several crucial functions:

  1. Receiving sensory information from the environment.

  2. Processing and integrating information.

  3. Generating and transmitting signals to control body functions.

  4. Regulating vital processes such as heartbeat, breathing, and digestion.
