Lecture Description: This lecture explores the critical processes of Planning, Scheduling, and Controlling in project management, offering participants a detailed understanding of each element and its role in ensuring project success.

We begin with Planning, the foundational phase where project goals, resources, timelines, and budgets are defined. This segment emphasizes how thorough planning establishes a roadmap, sets priorities, allocates resources, and manages risks to avoid costly errors and delays. Participants will learn about various planning techniques and tools that help in visualizing the project’s path from start to finish.

Next, we focus on Scheduling, the process of mapping out tasks and assigning them specific timelines. Through scheduling, project managers can coordinate activities, manage dependencies, and optimize time for smooth workflow. The lecture covers essential scheduling methods like Gantt charts, Critical Path Method (CPM), and Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT), enabling participants to enhance time management and task coordination in their projects.

Finally, we examine Controlling, a critical function that involves monitoring project progress, measuring performance against the plan, and making adjustments as needed. Participants will explore control techniques, including tracking tools, performance metrics, and corrective actions to ensure the project stays on track and adapts to any emerging challenges.

By the end of this lecture, participants will gain valuable insights into managing the dynamic elements of Planning, Scheduling, and Controlling, equipping them with the skills to oversee projects with precision and adaptability, ensuring alignment with objectives and timely completion.
