◆ Leukemias are malignant tumors of the haemopoitic stem cells
characterized by diffuse replacement of bone marrow by neoplastic cells
◆ The leukemic cells proliferate mainly in bone marrow, circulate in the
blood and infiltrate in the spleen, lymph nodes, and other organs.
