This section covers fundamental concepts and the role of a project manager, along with an overview of project types across industries.

Following the introduction, we delve into the Objectives of Project Management, focusing on how setting clear, actionable goals can align team efforts, optimize resources, and ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. We explore how these objectives vary based on project needs and organizational priorities.

The lecture then covers the Principles of Project Management, where we examine essential values and practices, such as accountability, stakeholder engagement, and risk management, that guide ethical and effective project execution. These principles establish a framework to maintain quality and adaptability throughout the project lifecycle.

Finally, we move to the Phases of Project Management—typically Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing. Each phase is discussed in detail to show how they build upon one another, ensuring project continuity and success from inception to completion.
